Terms of Service

1. The service

Accountability Assistant is a personal planning tool. It lets you organise tasks by life area, schedule them on a calendar, set repeating tasks and reminder preferences, record completions and changes, and review supportive daily and weekly reports. It is currently offered free of charge. Features may change as we improve the service.

2. Your account

• You need an account to use the app. Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details safe.
• You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed it.
• Accounts are for individual use. Do not share your account or create accounts for other people without their permission.
• The service is not intended for children.

3. Your content

The tasks, notes, life areas and other information you add remain yours. You allow us to store and process them only so we can run the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not add information you do not have the right to use, or highly sensitive information about other people.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• try to access another person's account or data, or get around security or access controls;
• interfere with, overload or attack the service, or use automated tools to scrape or abuse it;
• use the service, or our WhatsApp number, to send spam, harassment or unlawful content;
• use the service in breach of applicable law.

5. WhatsApp features

• WhatsApp features are being prepared and are not yet available to customers. Until they launch, we do not send messages or act on messages sent to our WhatsApp number.
• When available, WhatsApp task commands will only work after you link your WhatsApp number to your account and authorise it from your signed-in account. They will only act on your own tasks.
• We will only send you WhatsApp messages after you opt in, and you will be able to opt out or unlink at any time.
• Your use of WhatsApp is also subject to WhatsApp's and Meta's own terms. Your mobile operator may charge for data use.

6. Reminders and reports

Accountability Assistant is a tool to help you plan, not a guarantee that anything will happen on time. Reminders and reports depend on the information you enter and on services such as your device, network and (when available) WhatsApp. Please do not rely on the service for urgent, medical, safety-critical or legal deadlines.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available", and we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, pause or stop features. If we plan to shut the service down, we will give reasonable notice where we can so you can request a copy of your information.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account — see Data Deletion. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by missed tasks or reminders. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under laws that cannot be excluded.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, let signed-in users know in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
